DSE Module Updates pt. II
We finally have some news for you regarding DualSense Edge Modules!
It has been a long Summer and we would like to thank you for your patience while we navigated the module shortage. Over the last few months we have had talks with major retailers, Sony itself, and a wide variety of re-sellers and 3rd-party vendors to try to secure more inventory.
While there were many times we were close to making a deal, the uncertain and everchanging international trade landscape made these deals inevitably fall through at the last minute.
Thankfully, we were finally able to secure a decent stock of modules after working with a vendor over the last few weeks. These modules unfortunately needed to be purchased well above our previous sourcing, and as a small business it is a significant challenge to overcome.
There are many things a business might do when things like this happen, but we are fulfilling all previously held orders and honoring all pricing at the time of purchase.
While we finalize logistics and re-establish production processes, we will be opening sales again for both Custom and Magneto Modules later today. Production times for these modules may fluctuate, and production likely will not begin until Mid October.
IMPORTANT: In order to secure inventory we had to seek 3rd-party suppliers and purchase modules at market price. While the supply of modules is still uncertain, we will be adjusting pricing of our modules and modifications to reflect their scarcity and the impact that tariffs have had in sourcing them.
We currently plan for a unique discount code that you will need to use to access the 'adjusted pricing' that we will have for the modules going forward. This discount code is BBDSE and will be visible on the product pages.

DSE Module Updates
This is Chris, the owner of Battle Beaver.
Over the years we've always strived to prioritize transparent communication, especially during the wait between placing your order and receiving it, but admittedly this one took everyone by surprise so it took us a little bit to brainstorm a path forward.
About a week ago, we were made aware that production of the DualSense Edge (DSE) module has been completely shut down by the manufacturer. Since then, I’ve personally contacted all of our usual suppliers and even worked through one of the world’s top three retailers to get in touch with Sony directly. It has become clear this is now a global shortage, major distributors like Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and Amazon are all showing the module as unavailable through official channels.
We are currently exploring the option of placing a large direct order with Sony, and I am actively working through the details regarding pricing, timing, and availability.
The Magneto Mech (TMR) upgrade has received overwhelmingly positive feedback and has proven to be a new standard in the industry and vital upgrade for the DualSense Edge.
Here’s what we’re doing right now:
- Paused all new sales of the upgraded DSE modules,
- Working on placing a large direct order with Sony (awaiting final details),
- Offering to buy out remaining inventory from major distributors,
- Contacting over 1000 fulfilled Magneto Mech DSE module orders offering to buy their stock units, so we can upgrade and refresh them to like-new status.,
- Opened the option to our customers to mail-in their current modules for upgrade, or purchase from Sony’s website and input Battle Beaver’s shipping address (due to quantity restrictions of max 2 per customer we cannot purchase bulk from the site),
