Really Stepped Up My Netflix & Chill Game
For players who are coming from stock controllers, the Battle Beaver definitely takes some getting used to. You'll have to retrain yourself a bit, and that process was a bit frustrating. Luckily, it didn't take long. Only the first day was frustrating, and the new buttons and tension felt natural by the second week.
I have 'X' mapped to my left hand. Now I can use only my left hand to browse through and select shows and movies on Netflix. This may sound unimportant, but it completely frees up my right hand to put around somebody's shoulders or on their leg, maybe even start some pre-show groping. I highly recommend this controller for other people in the competitive Netflix & Chill scene. It's taken my game to the next base.
Seriously though, this controller is pretty much what I wanted. There are a few things I'd change, now that I've played with it a bit. I upped tension on both sticks, got the 2-position trigger stops, and went with standard button positions for my 2 buttons on the back. Now that I've played with it a bit, I'd probably only add tension to my right stick, go with the smart triggers, and I'd definitely go with the higher button position. Those are all a matter of personal preference.
The build quality seems good. There is a little bit of a sticker tab of some sort protruding from the inside, which I find annoying. But that's easily dealt with with a quick cut from a razor blade/X-acto…Loading review...
